More than 200 SUNY Potsdam students completed one or more internship placements at companies, non-profits or campus departments in the Spring 2014 semester. SUNY Potsdam's internship program places students with employers whose interests align with their studies. Each student has a faculty sponsor, and earns between 1 and 12 credits toward their degree requirements for successfully completing the internship.

SUNY Oneonta recently awarded scholarships to 283 freshmen and transfer students who will enroll at the college in the fall 2014 semester.

The following people recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

The following local students were named to the fall 2013 dean's list at SUNY Buffalo State. To qualify for the dean's list, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours.

The University of Scranton has announced it's Dean's List, which recognizes students for academic excellence during the 2013 fall semester. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the Dean's List. The list includes students from the Jesuit university's College of Arts and Sciences, the Kania School of Management, the Panuska College of Professional Studies and the College of Graduate and Continuing Education. More than 200 students from The Crane School of Music at The State University of New York at Potsdam will make their collective Lincoln Center debut on May 1 in a performance of Giuseppe Verdi's monumental Messa da Requiem under the baton of Ann Howard Jones.
